Elaine Goy

Elaine lives in Formby on the North West Coast of the UK where she often walks along the beach; there is also a Pine Forest where the Red Squirrels live. She lived and worked in London and abroad for quite a few of years, then moved back home to the North West.
Elaine’s life has been varied, including: co-owned a small Restaurant/Wine Bar in South
East London, Photography; PR Work (met Celebrities and People from all walks of
life), Magazines here in the UK and Norwegian/Swedish Newspapers. She has also done
some TV/Film extra work, which she enjoyed very much and says; “An opportunity to be
someone else for the day, meet lots of interesting people and work with some of the Actors
and Actresses we see on the Stage and Screen. It’s also good fun, something very different
to everyday life”.
Music has always been a big part of her life and she likes most genres. Elaine started off on a small radio broadcast in Liverpool then presenting shows on Hospital Radio for many years. She has been involved with a variety of broadcasts in and around Merseyside ever since, including working on the lunchtime show at BBC Radio Merseyside.
Radio gives her the opportunity to play some of the best music for you. On her show ‘STAGE CENTRE’ you will hear songs from the Musicals and Films. On ‘LATIN GROOVES’ she plays a good mix of Latin Music from around the World. Elaine says “Music brings back memories for people; it’s something that will always be there”.
Elaine loves animals, especially cats, gardening, walking, swimming, dancing and reading. She has a good sense of humour. One other thing she loves Sweet Corn and Mushrooms!
